ProTherapy Limited was formed in 2001 by Jennifer Gill and Monica Elson to provide psychotherapy services to the National Health Service, alongside our existing, thriving private practice.

As ProTherapy Ltd has developed its core business, we have achieved ISOQAR 9001:2000 which recognises the quality of provision to our clients, and of our management systems.

Jennifer Gill

Jennifer Gill

Jennifer Gill holds a Post Graduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies through the University of Liverpool and a Postgraduate Certificate in Relationship Therapy (Psychosexual Therapy) through the University of Hull. She is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Jennifer has completed additional specialist training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her interest lies in stress-related disorders, and relational work.

Jennifer has a commercial business background over a 20 year period; she is also an experienced therapist and trainer with over 15 years in the NHS and private sector, and 8 years in further education.

Monica Elson

Monica Elson

Monica Elson holds an MA in Counselling Studies through the University of Keele and a Postgraduate Certificate in Relationship Therapy (Couple Therapy) through the University of Hull. She is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Monica has completed additional specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques. Her interest lies in bereavement and relational work.

She is an experienced therapist and trainer with over 25 years experience in the NHS, further education and in the private sector.
