BABCP celebrates 40 years
The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year (1972 - 2012).
The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) has been given a vote of confidence in the role it plays as the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies in the United Kingdom. The current mental health programme in the NHS confirms the impact that evidence based behavioural and cognitive psychotherapies has made to the UK's health economy.
Four decades later, and with the 'C' for Cognitive added in 1992, The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) celebrates its 40th anniversary. During this period, the Association has grown in numbers, to over 9,000 members currently, and has been recognised for its therapist accreditation processes, highly respected journals and world class conferences.
The BABCP continues to set an agenda for the continued development of behavioural and cognitive psychotherapies well into the future.
